2025 Year in Books
Year in Books
The annual summary from Goodreads has me at 34 books for 2025. It was a good reading year, with a good mix over 15,529 pages. I look forward to a number of continuations in 2026.
Brandon Sanderson
First was the Sanderlanche, and a personal wrap up his Cosmere as it stands. Some personal favorites were Mistborn phase 2, and his special projects Tress and Yumi.

James Islington
A friend set me on a path with Islington. At first I was a little skeptical about it being too close to Red Rising but it became it’s own thing.
Martha Wells
I wrapped up the most recent Murderbot story also. It lacked some of the fun from the first books but was still enjoyable.
Joe Abercrombie
The next block was a real pallet cleanser. I didn’t know what Grim-Dark was before this, but it wasn’t enough to pick up the later books in this series.
Matt Dinniman
Wrapping up the end of the year was the most fun series. The first book had me actually laughing and the rest did not disappoint.
