KumaStatusBar Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

KumaStatusBar doesn't collect any data. Nothing you enter or that the app shows is sent to the developer or anyone else. Everything stays on your devices and, if you use iCloud sync, in your own iCloud.

This policy covers KumaStatusBar for Mac and for iPhone, including the iPhone widgets.

What the app stores

To show your status page, KumaStatusBar saves the settings you enter, on your device:

Deleting the app removes its settings. You can remove the token at any time with Remove token in Settings.

iCloud sync

In the App Store versions, your addresses, route and check interval sync between your Mac and iPhone through your iCloud account, and the Cloudflare token through iCloud Keychain, which is end-to-end encrypted. This data is stored by Apple in your iCloud and is never available to the developer. You can turn either off in Settings.

Share Setup makes a QR code and link with your addresses (and the token only if you choose to include it). It's shared only where you send or show it, and the app asks before using one.

Who the app talks to

KumaStatusBar only connects to the Uptime Kuma addresses you enter, to read the status page. The Cloudflare Access token is only sent to your remote address, never to your home address. The app has no analytics, advertising, crash reporting or tracking of any kind, and no servers of its own.

Notifications and permissions

Notifications and the local network permission are used only to alert you about your monitors and to reach your Uptime Kuma server on your home network. Both are handled by your device's operating system.

Children

The app doesn't collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
